We as educators believe that your child is strong, capable in their uniqueness, and full of potential. We promote broader thinking abilities. They are the foundation upon which children learn to make decisions, regulate their own behavior, meet complex challenges, and take responsibility for their actions. Knowledge of the children is the key to success. We do this by observing and documenting the children and creating responsive environments. This requires awareness of the image of the child as a mighty learners. Educators with the support of the children try to create an environment, so that the children are motivated to interact, explore, and learn. An environment that engages all children by providing a respectful climate where instruction and curriculum are designed to respond to the backgrounds and needs of every child.
Involvement of family is important to us. We believe that families, children, and communities, create places of vitality together – strong, active, and energetic communities, fostered by educators who engage in a practice of relationships. We truly feel a child’s social, emotional, cognitive, and academic development is strengthened when educators and families work together. When a child sees a positive relationship developing between educators and family, the child recognizes that the important people in his or her life are working together and trust each other, and he or she will do the same. This collaboration also provides a strong foundation for communication about children’s learning. The interactions between educators and families are positive, purposeful, reciprocal, and consist.
